I'll stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Still, the novice remains one of boxing's greatest financial successes, consistently making substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
